PRACTICAL GUIDE
Your first document.
Your first thing to do.
A simple path to get familiar with the new IsMe. Use a fictional document or a test copy for your first attempt.
Guide to the release in preparation. Text and screens may differ from the version currently in the stores.
Start with the right profile
Choose Personal or Work and create a profile for the relevant person or activity. A profile brings information and documents together; it does not create a shared account.
- Choose an area in the app navigation.
- Open Profiles and add a profile.
- Use a name that makes the destination easy to recognise.
Add content to Life Inbox
Start from a PDF, image, photo or pasted text. Select the destination profile and check the captured content.
- Open Life Inbox and choose how to add content.
- Select the profile and file, or paste your text.
- Wait for text recognition. If it is incomplete, open the original and retry with a clearer source.
Review, then confirm
A suggestion is assistance, not certainty. Compare dates, amounts and currencies against the original; an ambiguous date needs an explicit choice.
- Open the original document from the review screen.
- Correct the title, date and amount where needed.
- Select only relevant suggestions. Choose whether to create a linked action.
- Confirm and check the summary. From there you can open and edit the action.
Follow your due dates
Browse actions from Overview and the due-date views. Reminders require system permission; they do not replace checking important dates yourself.
- Check the action date and choose whether to enable a reminder.
- Allow notifications when requested. Android may also need permission for on-time alarms.
- Try an alert with fictional data first and check battery-saving settings.
- If you use the calendar, review the preview and finish saving in the system editor.
Make a backup
Your app-access password and backup password serve different purposes. A backup saved without a password contains unprotected data.
- Open Settings → Create manual backup.
- Choose and confirm a password for an encrypted backup.
- Save the .isme file and keep its password in a separate place.
- Check restoration in a test environment; keep a verified copy before replacing important data.
Protect and share thoughtfully
Set an app lock and keep the recovery code separately. For a handover, start with a collection and review the selection.
- Add only information useful to the situation.
- Check the preview before sharing.
- Remember that recipients keep a copy and opening in other apps requires temporary plaintext files.
