Profiles, information and recognised text are stored on the device in an encrypted SQLCipher database; attachments use AES-256-GCM. Keys are handled through the system secure storage. No IsMe account is needed for the local archive.
Lock and recovery
The app lock is optional; archive encryption remains active without it. Biometrics depend on the operating system. Keep the recovery code separately: IsMe does not keep a recoverable remote copy.
OCR and suggestions
Text recognition uses on-device components. Results can be incomplete or wrong and must be checked against the original. The generative AI DEV experiment is not enabled in the distribution package described on this site.
Backups and cloud services
A manual backup can be protected with a dedicated password. If you choose to save without a password, exported data is unprotected. Cloud integrations are optional, use your own account and space, and depend on platform and setup; backups are encrypted before upload.
Sharing and temporary copies
Opening an attachment in another app or sharing it requires temporary plaintext copies. The app removes its own copies when possible and during its cleanup steps. Copies delivered to recipients or other apps remain under their control.
Reminders
Notifications use generic text without names or document details. Permissions, system settings and battery saving can affect alert availability.
This site
This public website is hosted on the dedicated server serving isme.nattysoft.co.uk. It has no forms, advertising, analytics pixels or remote fonts and does not receive archive documents. The server records technical requests, including IP address, time, requested URL, response status and browser information, for delivery, security and fault diagnosis. Technical logs are rotated daily, with a retention limit of 14 days under the scheduled rotation process. This static website does not set cookies.
Support
The email link opens your mail application. Messages are handled through the email service used: send only what is needed to describe the problem, without personal documents, passwords or recovery codes.
Scope and contact
This notice describes the new IsMe release and this website. Privacy enquiries: principe.sviluppo@gmail.com. The controller is Orazio Principe, United Kingdom. Support correspondence is retained for up to 12 months after the enquiry is closed, unless a legal obligation or dispute requires longer retention.
Data accessed by the app
The app processes profiles, documents, images, text, dates and amounts that you add. Camera, photos/files, notifications, biometrics and calendar access are used only for the corresponding features and subject to system permissions. Biometric verification is performed by the operating system; IsMe does not receive biometric templates. Document contents are not uploaded to an IsMe archive server.
Optional services and recipients
If enabled, iCloud on iOS or Google Drive on Android receives encrypted backups through your own account. Apple and Google operate these services under their respective privacy terms. Files you deliberately share are delivered to the apps or people you select. Opening external links may disclose information to their destinations. Support email is processed through the email providers used by you and the support contact. No generative AI document service is enabled in the distributed release.
Retention and deletion
Local archive data remains until you delete it or remove the app’s stored data. Removing the app does not necessarily delete cloud backups, exported files, device backups or copies shared with others. Delete these separately through the relevant service or storage location. Revoke permissions in device settings and disconnect optional cloud access to stop future use. There is no IsMe server account to close. Requests to remove support correspondence can be sent to the contact above; retention may be required to handle a dispute or a legal obligation.
Purposes, rights and choices
Local processing provides the functions you request; optional cloud access and device permissions remain under your control. Website security and support handling serve operational and assistance purposes. Support correspondence and technical security logs are processed on the basis of the legitimate interest in answering enquiries and maintaining a secure, functioning service. You are not required to contact support; without the necessary details we may be unable to resolve your enquiry. IsMe does not sell your archive contents or use them for advertising profiles. Local suggestions require your review and do not make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Optional permissions may be revoked at any time without affecting prior lawful processing. Where applicable, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of personal data held by the controller, object to processing, and complain to the competent data protection authority. The developer cannot access or remotely erase your local encrypted archive. Any international processing by cloud or email providers follows their applicable terms and safeguards.
